Mushrooms pizzaiola style
They are the yummiest in our assortment: sliced mushrooms combined with sweet peppers and tomato, seasoned with oregano and spices. A rounded, soft flavour that demands ‘scarpetta’ - mopping up with bread. Fine, fleshy slices of champignon mushrooms, still crunchy, seasoned to perfection.
Serve them warm with fine farmhouse bread or on croutons for a rustic hors d’oeuvre. If you want to amaze your friends, for an hors d’oeuvre or aperitif, make a savoury strudel with flaky pastry filled with our pizzaiola mushrooms and diced mozzarella, then bake it in the oven and serve it piping hot as soon as the flaky pastry has turned golden, with the mozzarella still molten.
Wash it down with a red Campanian wine, such as Falerno del Massico, for a regional pairing that will please your guests. We cook the mushrooms, you provide the creativity and have all the fun!
