Oil pickles and hors d’oeuvre
Precious mixed pickled mushrooms in sunflower seed oil with porcini mushrooms. Delicious cold, accompanied with a hearty slice of focaccia bread or wholemeal breadsticks, it is even tastier and releases all its flavours if quickly tossed in a pan and spread on slices of roasted bread, for a super aperitif. Also ideal to top a fried or poached egg, for a second course worthy of a chef. The mushroom and egg combination is very gourmet, but our Boscaiola will be equally delicious even with a simple dish of grilled chicken breast or scented cheese, such as a mountain cow Toma.
It can be used as an ingredient for a number of creative recipes, used like a fresh ingredient: for instance, in a quiche, to be served as an aperitif or hors d’oeuvre or used with single cream or bechamel to dress a pasta or baked pasta dish.
